StopTech: Balanced Brake Upgrades for your Street and Track Day Car

StopTech Big Brake Kits are carefully engineered to keep an optimal front to rear brake bias. Why does brake bias matter? On the race track, outbraking your opponent by just two feet every lap might not sound like much, but over the course of a twenty lap sprint race it can result in a three to four car length advantage at the checkered flag. To the racer, decreased braking distance is the same as free horsepower.

Street drivers also need to take heed of bias, as the effects of improper bias not only result in sub-optimal stopping distances but can also include sub-optimal brake pad life (too much front bias) and/or premature ABS activations. For example, if a car is too heavily front-biased in its typical operating deceleration range, it will wear front brake pads more quickly due to the fact that the rear brakes are not contributing as much as they could be.

Each StopTech Big Brake Kit consists of:

• 4 or 6 Piston Calipers uniquely designed to be stiffer then the competition.A stiffer caliper means better performance with less vibration noise and pad taper as well as better pedal feel under extreme raking conditions. Calipers are available in red, black, or silver powercoated finish. Blue, Gold or Yellow Calipers may be special ordered but require a 30-45 day lead time and are $200 more per axle. • 328mm X 32mm, 332mm X 32mm or 355mm X 32mm (depending on application) AeroRotor Brake Rotors with uniquely designed vanes for better cooling
• High Performance pad material suited for high-end street uses as well as limited track application.
• DOT approved front stainless steel brake lines.
• CNC'd and anodized caliper mounting bracket with aircraft quality hardware.
