IE 3" STAINLESS STEEL HIGH-FLOW CAT MIDPIPE FOR IE450T TURBO KIT

Seamlessly pair your new IE450T turbo kit with your Milltek cat-back exhaust system with use of the IE high-flow midpipe. This piece features the correct V-band flange to mate to the downpipe included in the IE450T kit and connect to the slip-fit joint on the Milltek cat-back system. Featuring a premium MagnaFlow 200 cell high-flow cat, the IE midpipe allows adequate flow while keeping factory emissions systems in place. Constructed 100% from stainless steel, the IE midpipe is corrosion resistant and will outlast the car it is bolted to.

Direct-fit

We have tested nearly every performance exhaust system on the market and have determined that the cat-back offered by Milltek is the best-performing and best-fitting system available. For those two reasons, along with the harmonious sound that spills from the tailpipe, we recommend using the Milltek cat-back with the IE450T turbo kit. To make an uninterrupted transition between the downpipe and cat-back, the IE midpipe is a direct fit and does not require any modification or fabrication to install. On the inlet side, you will find a stainless V-band flange, which is the correct counterpart for the IE450T downpipe. A stainless clamp is used to securely fasten the two. The rear side of the midpipe is ready for a band clamp to secure to the Milltek cat-back system.

MagnaFlow high-flow catalytic converter

The MagnaFlow 200 cell high-flow catalytic converter used in the IE midpipe was selected for several important reasons. First and foremost, it serves its purpose well without any check engine lights triggered. This is very important to keep cars emissions legal, while allowing proper flow and reducing restriction. Secondly, the low-profile spun body fits perfectly beneath the chassis of the MK6 with no concern of ground clearance issues. Lastly, this piece was chosen for the high quality offered by MagnaFlow, as many aftermarket catalytic converters are lesser quality and deteriorate over time. The stainless steel used in the outer body is corrosion resistant and will not rust like other lower quality units.

High-flow stainless steel pipe

The IE midpipe is constructed of high quality 3.00", 16 gauge stainless steel. This diameter was chosen to provide a perfect balance between flow and sound. The large diameter is well-suited for the power output from the IE450T turbo kit, while keeping drone and excessive noise to a minimum. All components are precisely TIG welded together by a skilled craftsman, eliminating any chance for exhaust leaks.
